It has now been 10 years since I began performing on stage for paid audiences that willingly watch me and countless others like myself share, in the most fulfilling way possible, why we love doing what we do. I am grateful for all of the amazing people that I have had the pleasure of working with, performing with, performing for, and auditioning for along the way. I have made life-long friendships, relationships, and partnerships. I've learned a lot about the excruciating process of making art and translating it to communicate to an audience. Practice, Repetition, Patience, and Forgiveness are virtues that must be instilled in order to produce art. The creativity in art comes into picture once one is comfortable and humble enough with themselves to realize that it's okay to mess up. It's okay for others to see you mess up. It's the mistakes that are going to help you grow. Fearlessness is granted to those who are not afraid to confront their fears. And, if you're lucky, your audience will only view your mistake as art. That's why it's so important to remain in character, because the audience will never know unless the actor breaks and gives it away. I reflect on this from an actor's perspective, but this can totally be applied with any form of art.
I want to turn over this portion of my website to blog about my past, present, and future career endeavors. I want you all to be with me as I brainstorm bits and pieces of my bigger journey to unfold. I also want it to serve as an outlet for other people, other performers, other artists to view and, hopefully, discover some similarities and inspirational juju. I am excited to start this. I used to blog all the time on another well-known site that millennials used before Facebook took over the world wide web. I hope you join me on this next chapter in my next 10 years of life as an artist.
