Jessica Mixon brings a delightful personality, as well as her powerhouse voice, to Medda Larkin, the big-hearted lady of the stage who befriends Jack.

Jessica Mixon handles some of the most soulful numbers. With her come-hither eyes and sweetly lyrical voice, she seduces the audience with such numbers as "Squeeze Me" and "That Ain't Right."

Last but certainly not least, our Leading Player, Jessica Mixon, carried the weight of the show on her shoulders powerfully and gracefully. And boy does she have a voice on her! A product of Loyola University's Theater program, the triple threat has been involved in well over 20 local productions in recent years and has also made appearances in some film and television productions. Jessica is a true talent, and I can't wait to see what she does next!

Tackling the most demanding vocal role of the musical, Jessica Mixon gave a commanding voice to the Narrator, rich in tone and volume.

Mixon and Fouchi both give excellent performances as feisty, world-worn workers, balancing Charity’s naivete.

Jessica Mixon and Kelly Fouchi stand out as Charity's closest friends at the Fandango, Helene and Nickie, each bringing sass and big voices to their performances. -

As a homeless woman, who pops up periodically, Jessica Mixon provides the voice of conscience to the piece with her strong, belting voice.

It was nice to see a familiar face, as I vividly remember actress Jessica Mixon who last appeared on Le Petit's stage as the Leading Player in PIPPIN. She was a standout then, and she was a standout again in ONCE ON THIS ISLAND in her role as Asaka, Mother of the Earth. Gorgeous voice, gorgeous stage presence.

Jessica Mixon is a genuine triple threat. As the ringmaster-like Leading Player, she had the voice, the acting chops and the fluid moves to command the stage.

Mixon is a fantastic showman, wearing a straw hat, black boots with a perpetually devilish smile.

Jessica Mixon plays a homeless woman who begs outside the hospital, a character who offers a different perspective on hardship and misfortune, and Mixon also turns in a strong solo.

All the numbers are well sung and completely unpretentious, but several stand out. As Lisa, an enigmatic homeless person, Jessica Mixon brings the house down with her impassioned rendition of “Change.”

That being said, my discomfort was mitigated by the arrival of Jessica Mixon, AshleyRose Butler, and Whitney Mixon as a dynamic trio singing a selection of tunes from Motown’s catalogue of women’s tunes. In fact, their set was a jumper cable to the evening and began to drive the show towards a destination more than just merely pleasant diversion.

In an interlude giving a pleasing nod to the girl groups of the day, Ashley Rose Butler, Jessica Mixon and Whitney Mixon knocked out a Supremes medley that left you wanting more. - Theodore Mahne
